Photography has played a major role in my life for many years both as a hobby and a business.  For me, there is nothing more satisfying than producing a portrait that inspires an emotional response when the subject first sees it.  I like to work closely with my subjects, bringing out the spirit within each of us.  This is the essence of a great portrait.  Although I am comfortable both in and out of the studio, I prefer environmental portraiture, combining the landscape with the human element.

My photographic education is a bit self-taught and a bit apprenticeship.  I guess the beginnings of my serious education began when I worked for Master Photographer Jack Calbeck.  There I gained invaluable experience in portraiture and commercial photography but most importantly; a keen understanding of the business side of the industry.  Since then, my photographic passions have taken a backseat to my full-time career in the United States Air Force.

As a past member of the Northwest Florida Guild of the Professional Photographer's of America, I take my craft seriously and firmly believe in giving back to the art by helping others learn photography as well.  Through this association, I have participated in the Florida School, one of the most prestigious photographic workshops in the nation.

Motorsports photography has become another passionate area for me.  I've had the pleasure to learn from one of the best in the business, David Allio, chief photographer for the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  His mentorship has been invaluable as I continue pursuing this unique field.  I am a frequent staff member for LVMS and my work can be purchased through Icon Sports Media. Examples of my work can be found in Car and Driver, HeliOps, TV Guide, Performance Racing Industry magazine, National Speed Sport News and K & N Filters. Additionally, I have published a non-fiction book titled, "Chariots of the Damned", detailing Special Operations Helicopter missions throughout history.

Enjoy the photos on my website and I look forward to working with you in the future.  Please feel free to contact me either via email or phone should you have any questions.
